The Dillsboro Town Manager, Doug Rump, has announced that Dillsboro will be receiving #313,002.00 in State funding for three upcoming street projects.
- $121,653.00 will be allocated for a number of alley resurfacings.
- $174.791.00 will go toward the reconstruction of Rullman Road.
- The remaining $120,892.00 will be used to rehabilitate the Front Street gateway into town.
Community Crossings is a program through the partnership between the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and Hoosier Communities for the purpose of economic development, job creation, and to make improvements to local roads and bridges.
The designated projects were earmarked by the Town Manager and approved by Town Council. 75% of the project cost is covered by the grant funds and the remainig 25% will be funded by the town. The grant will stretch the local dollars to provide for much needed projects.
